BMS Sales Engineer

A leading provider of Building Energy Management System solutions is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join their expanding sales team as a BMS Sales Engineer. This role focuses on business development, servicing both new and existing clients throughout the North of England. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining the existing client base and developing new relationships to support the growth of the business.

About the Role

With a history spanning over 33 years, our client specialises in the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of Building Management Systems (BMS). They are recognized as a Trend Technology Centre and have agreements in place to sell and install products from leading manufacturers, including Siemens, Tridium, Schneider, and JCI BMS. With offices in Liverpool, London, and Leeds, their experienced team is committed to providing seamless service and post-installation support.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding specifications, drawings, schedules, and preparing essential documentation.
  • Liaising with subcontractors for panel work and electrical work.
  • Estimating jobs using Excel and preparing quotations using Word/PDF formats.
  • Actively following up on quotations and developing relationships with contractors.
  • Conducting face-to-face meetings with customers to secure orders and future work.
  • Negotiating with customers to secure orders.
  • Participating in on/off-site design meetings with contractors, consultants, and clients.
  • Generating own enquiries and orders.

  • Flexibility to work additional hours to meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel nationwide as required by the business.

Package

  • Annual Salary: Competitive, paid monthly in arrears.
  • Benefits: Company car including personal fuel benefit, laptop, mobile phone, 25 days holiday (excluding national holidays), and pension scheme.
  • OTE: £100k.
  • Location: Must be based in the UK.
